Life is full of surprises. Some pleasant and some not so pleasant. We all know that. In our life there are days, moments when unexpected happens. With so many things happening in the world, you never know what’s going to happen next. As a human being we always pray that good things happen and donot want any negative unexpected things to happen. May be its losing money, job, getting sick, near and dear ones ‘ death or any other things which would effect your life.

But its common knowledge you cannot always have good things happening in your life. Bad things will occur, That’s life. Always remember- bad times will pass. Sometimes, bad things happen to an individual and at times impacts many lives collectively like Tsunami, floods, drought, Wars and Virus attack/spreads.

“Unexpected is an expected part of life”- Hadassah Rivera

Most of us get into deep stress, depression, negative thoughts, deep addiction and get more and more worried and sick. We however need to see how to deal with it. By being in depression and anxiety, things will not get better. Rather it will get worse.

In my view, below are the few tips which we need to adapt/follow for getting better and work on our strengths and opportunity available to us.

Accept the Reality:

I think we should somehow accept the reality as early as possible. Once we accept the same, the better it will be.

Slow Down:

Take some time to ponder and then start thinking about the future afresh. Give some time. Don’t overreact immensely. May be give it few hours. Preferably work on it the next day. You will do a better work on handling the same.

Be Grateful:

Practice gratitude everyday early morning. Thank the God for what all you have and for small little good things happening in your life. This will be a great help for you to heal and feel good.

Time will pass:

This too shall pass. Anything ‘not good’ in life , if it comes is only for sometime. The timewill pass. Be compassionate with yourself and be patient. Work on the good things which is in your hand. You need to be strong enough to persevere and pass this stage. What’s not in your control, why worry about it ? and what is in your control, why worry about it?

Exercise:

Exercising is one of the best healers. Get into exercising on a war footing , this will get you healthy, add lots of positive energy in your life, keep you away from negative thoughts and help you survive the difficult times.

Body is the garden of soul — Deepak Chopra

Prayer:

Spend time with the God. Pray and spend sometime in the place of worship. It helps a lot. I mean a lot. Trust me.

Music:

Music is something which most of us love. However in such circumstances, i believe listening to your favourite music will definitely act a mood booster. Sing, Dance or Play music. It’s a great source of calming and relaxing your mind.

Meditation & Yoga:

Meditation and Yoga are great ways to work upon for yourself. Since the time , Yoga was discovered, we have seen that’s its a best form of relaxation, imbibing positive energy, believing in the God and calming you as a person.

Learn and adapt:

Any negative circumstances or unexpected always helps you to learn new things. When you introspect , you do get hints of things which you need to learn from this. For Example, Lets suppose you failed in some work. This was unexpected. So, you start finding reasons that what went wrong. You surely become wise and learn from this mistake. All you have to ensure is that you don’t make similar mistakes.

Play a sport:

Playing a sport is also one of the best stress busters. If you can play a sport which was your passion or a hobby in your earlier life. Try to play. Play the sport. The endorphins which come out when you play, gets you in a. good frame of mind , makes you fitter and builds your confidence. Try it.

Counselling:

Counselling should be the last resort , if the above does not work. You are capable of handling your situations yourself. The only thing is not to brood but work on some of the points mentioned above.

Always it should be remembered that a positive attitude gives you the ability to power your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you- Joyce Meyer

Situations where it happens to you personally or collective destiny both are unexpected and can happen to anyone on this earth. Everything happens for a reason. God has given enough mental and physical strength to the species of human being. Change is a part of life. Key is managing your attitude. Just have patience and work on the few points mentioned above. Time will pass. Good days will be back again.
