Fitness is for Rich & Famous !

I have often found that, Its is a myth among masses that being fit or working on fitness is only for rich and famous. After all it requires Time, Money and good Food! Above that they donot have pressures for survival . These are something not meant for the large section of population and more ever they donot have organisational and family pressures. I somehow felt a little of this in my young age and probably spent my life working extra hours etc for survival. Now that I have been into this for couple of the years , I realise that it’s not correct and it was more of a lack of wisdom than anything else. Let me take the above 3 points one by one.

Time:

It is same for everybody . It’s precisely the 24 hours. You have to manage time. Rich and famous are more busy than us and they have huge pressures of commitments, multi-tasking and innumerable engagements. Now that the social networking has helped us to know that right Anil Ambani or Amitabh Bachan to Deepika Padukone, they all go for the fitness regime everyday ! It’s part of the regimen for each of them. Even if they are travelling which they do atleast half of the time, they will ensure they give minimum one hour to fitness irrespective of the timings. Fitness is not that you necessarily have to do early morning or evening. It can be anytime. That’s the reason that 24x7 gyms are now a success in urban areas ! Checkout yourself what time the rich and famous do their workouts! You will be surprised!

Money:

Surprisingly this is again a myth that those who have money can only get into fitness and it involves good money. Most of the exercises which can make you a fit and good looking are the ones, which you can do in your homes and the park. Right from Walk to Run to Push-ups to Jumping Jacks to Squats to Lunges to climbing Stairs/Escalator, avoiding lifts and many many more. If you donot like all this, Yoga is again a no cost exercise. Still you need professional guidance on Yoga, It’s a one time expense of 6 months coaching classes or just follow Baba Ramdev on TV every morning.

Food:

This is only a mind set issue. Fitness doesn’t mean eat high quality costly food. It only means that you understand food. You understand the glycemic index to understand calaroies intake . You just need to eat simple food. Avoid salt and sugar as much as you can. Say bye to few foods and drinks which are not good for health. Use more of fiber in your diet! Add more and more raw fruits and salads without salt in your intake. If you can afford add some raw nuts to your routine, it will be an added advantage. Avoids carbs in dinner. That’s it.

It’s only a question of attitude and your initiative as after all the body which gives you life for 24 hours , it requires only 45 mins to an hour of you to keep you fit and fine !!!! Give it a try with religious efforts , you will never ever regret it !!!
